Snow Themed Photo Sessions SATURDAY FEBRUARY 7th

Looking out the window, it is really hard to believe it is going to be in the upper 30s / low 40s this weekend! 

I have a couple of spots left for THIS SATURDAY for an outdoor snow shoot. 

Children won't be in the cold for long and we will keep them warm either in a cute jacket, hat, scarf and boots that you provide or if they don't have a 'cute' jacket then we wrap them in a pretty blanket or quilt with a cute hat. 

Those of you who have seen my Fine Art work {such as Fairy sessions and the Christmas sessions} - this will be edited similar with a light, airy, magical feel.

To get the best images from the session dressing in limited patterns/colors will be best. The most beautiful images occur when solid colors are worn and creams on white snow are so beautiful.

To give you some ideas of what I mean - take a look at these images on my Pinterest board. These are inspiration only images but it gives you an idea.

Notice how simple, organic and beautiful these images are. They don't use a lot of patterns or a mix of colors. They stay simple with either one color base or just two. People often mistake the need to have a really bright dark color to contrast a lighter color {like snow} but really all that does is make an image busy and causes those bright colors to reflect off the snow and back on to you {for example, never wear a neon color if you don't want your face/under chin area to have a little green or pink tint ha}. 

You don't have to go out and buy a cute new jacket. We can wrap up in a neutral blanket, bonnet and some boots. The same feel occurs - simple, organic and beautiful. 

I went out the other morning and photographed at a location that will be perfect for this session. I captured a lot of snow covered trees and snow falling {off the trees} so that in the event the warm temperatures shake all the snow off - I still have the images to create magic in the final portrait.

I used the blue box and blanket simply as a reference point when I photographed. I also love for a family portrait to play in the trees and use this beautiful outdoor stone fire place.
