Jackson's 1 Year Birthday Gallery

I've photographed this sweet boy since before he was born. I certainly never think much of it when babies have normal cranky spells or stranger/camera fears but Jackson ... has by far been the easiest child to photograph from day 1.

He slept the entire newborn session. Kept his bodily fluids to himself. And every four months {or considering mini sessions sooner than that} he comes ready to model! His personality was shining on the day of his first birthday milestone session.

Jackson's mama put together an awesome Cat in the Hat theme and so of course I had to have my backdrop maker custom make us something.

It is really helpful when both parents {or a grandparent, aunt, etc} come to help out at a session. It gives baby the sense of comfort to have two of their loves with them. It helps allow one to spot/chase after while the other grabs their attention - and in that split second I capture the image. Here is a little outtake ...

I just love this series of Jackson with the hat. In the first image, Daddy actually had his hand on Jackson's head trying to keep the hat on {I loved the facial expression so much that I took time to remove the hand/body so that we would have a beautiful image}.

There are so many ways that we can put together a collage of the smashing of the cake. It really all is a matter of personal taste/style. This collage is best printed at a 20x10 size and the frames are easily found at Michaels for less than $20. But it can also be printed on wrapped canvas or metal!

Since Jackson is one of my maternity to 1 year clients, there is so much we could do to document the past year. We add images from his mama's maternity session, newborn, four month, eight month, and 1 year session or just the latter 4 sessions.
