1 Year Session Tyler

I think my nickname for Tyler will be 'cheeks' ~ this sweet 12 month old has the most adorable cheeks ever! He started off serious but had a few playful moments.

I haven't brought out the 'gas station' set in awhile. 

Tyler brought a cute little hat to wear but like with most babies ... the hat didn't stay on long.

The best game was Tyler crawling off set towards the camera. I love when older babies let me love on them and we have some fun together. It isn't unusual for smiley older babies to be serious and not smile at their portrait session. Some of this is new environment and some of it is the stranger with a camera. I let babies take the lead, I try to give them space and we capture other aspects of their personality. 

Once the cake set is started, even the most hesitant baby generally digs in and once the sugar kicks in, we get a lot of play and smiles. Most babies at first will just dip their finger into the cake - it takes a bit of time for them to figure it out but once they do ~ there is no stopping them.
