Payton | Newborn

I have photographed Payton's big sister for about a year now and was so excited when their mama said she was expecting! It really is fun to watch my clients and their families as they grow.

When we photograph siblings together at a newborn session, we start with that capture first so that the older sibling can leave with dad/grandma/etc since the studio is so warm, not child proof and a session lasts about 2-3 hours.
I absolutely love pinterest for ideas and inspiration but just be aware that toddlers have a mind of their own and it often doesn't align with our desires ha. We were able to capture this image of the sisters together though with some creative editing.

Oh Miss. Payton ~ such beautiful complextion and features.

I believe Miss. Payton was almost 10 pounds when born, and photographing her at 5 days old she was just so sweet. LOOK AT THOSE CHEEKS! I love them.

I try to mix up a gallery between traditional newborn posing and creative captures/edits.

With the beginning of spring, it just called for the use of some bright colors.

This image might actually be my favorite. It's just perfect with baby on her mama's shoulder.

An 11x14/16x20 collage idea ~ of course images can be changed and the colors can be changed as well.

I think this is one of my favorite collage styles, I love having the maternity images and then the baby images together.
