Marlee | Four Month Milestone

I was introduced to Marlee's mama through my husband. She is a hair stylist and had been taking care of his hair for awhile {she is now my hair stylist too - and she rocks}. I began photographing Marlee at a few days old. 

And like all babies that come to visit me, she was absolutely perfect. 

I haven't seen Marlee since her newborn session, so I was excited to see how much she had grown in the past four months. I know a lot of parents who say they are going to by-pass either the newborn session for a four month session, or a four month session for an 8 month or just wait until 1 year.

There is SO much growth that takes place in just even a few short months. Of course physically they grow, many four month old babies have a lot of sweet baby chub! Their personalities are awake and fun to capture.

I know the every day can seem like it isn't that long or that not much change is happening but truly it is. You will forever thank yourself for having photo documentation of their growth ... one day, they will be all grown up. 

Marlee's daddy is in a band! So we had to get a rockin look for Marlee.

There is that four month old personality! 

 I am absolutely in love with Marlee's little tuft of hair! 

I know Marlee's mama would attest that you SHOULD get photos captured of you and your newborn at the newborn session. When you come in for their newborn session, you are probably tired ~ emotional ~ and just not feeling photogenic.

You don't need to get dressed up, you don't even need to put make-up on. I re-touch mama's skin and often times black and white is very forgiving.

At Marlee's four month session we were definitely sure to capture images of Marlee and her mama together.

Just pure sweetness! I can't wait to see her at her eight month session.
